It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
— Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

 Love is not a battle

of blessing bruises,

nor swallowing shame

in the shadows.

It is not the praise

of affliction,

nor the hollow screams

behind holy doors.

Love is a watchman

on the wall—

protecting the vulnerable.

Not from moral performance,

not patience

propping up power.

It does not wear silence

like sanctity.

It does not fear

to name what breaks.

May we refuse

false loves that chain,

and receive

the love that frees—

Love is the wound

that heals.
