Song of Heaven

Song of Heaven

Recommended musical accompaniment: “Forever” by Eric OwYoung, Future of Forestry.

God’s thumbprint, I wonder.

A kaleidoscope of dew drops
tickles my ears —
a thousand small mercies
speaking, be still.

The morning bends with light;
the earth breathes psalms of renewal.
I walk barefoot through a meadow of grace,
each blade a benediction.

My fingers trace the tender green,
where Eden’s memory lingers.
The wind becomes a melody —
a breath not my own,
whispering through the ruins,
you are mine, dear one.

A distant cry —
the strings of heaven tremble.
Their echo gathers my sorrow,
lifting it like incense,
until it dissolves like a prayer.

Carried by the wind, I turn and turn again,
spinning in mercy’s rhythm.
I am nowhere, and I am held.
In the breath between dust and dawn,
I am free.
